Description

COBI’s USS Kidd DD-661 recreates one of the most famous Fletcher-class destroyers in a compact 1:300 display model. With 706 pieces, it has enough detail to give builders a satisfying project without becoming overly large, and the finished ship measures 38 cm long on its stand. The model reflects the destroyer’s World War II appearance with realistic armament, superstructure details, and historical markings, including the distinctive “Pirate of the Pacific” pirate iconography. Movable guns and propellers add a bit of life to the build, while the brown display stand and printed name plaque make it ready for a shelf or collector’s cabinet. Created in official collaboration with the USS KIDD Veterans Museum, it is a faithful brick-built tribute to a legendary US Navy ship and a strong choice for anyone starting a ship collection or adding a historic destroyer to one.
