COBI 2299 recreates the church of Notre-Dame-de-l'Assomption in Sainte-Mère-Église, a landmark tied to the D-Day landings and the story of paratrooper John Steele. With 2,280 pieces, this is a substantial display model that leans more toward collectors and historical builders than quick play. The build includes the church tower, detailed architectural elements, stained-glass windows, surrounding ground and vegetation, plus a historic water pump placed beside the building. The roof can be removed to access the interior, which you can arrange yourself. A John Steele figure with a parachute is included, and the tower clock is set to the moment the American paratroopers landed. Finished, the model measures 63 cm long, 31 cm wide, and 41 cm high.
